Prime Minister Modi’s Health Initiatives on Ayurveda Day

On Dhanvantari Jayanti and the 9th Ayurveda Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch and inaugurate several health projects worth Rs 12,850 crore from the All India Institute of Ayurveda in New Delhi. A key highlight is the expansion of health coverage under Ayushman Bharat for senior citizens aged 70 and above, regardless of income.

New Health Facilities and Colleges

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate Phase II of the All India Institute of Ayurveda, featuring a Panchakarma hospital, Ayurvedic pharmacy, sports medicine unit, and more. He will also open three medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh and extend facilities at AIIMS across various states.

Infrastructure and Technology Advancements

New nursing colleges and critical care blocks will be established in several states. Drone services and helicopter emergency medical services will be launched at AIIMS locations. The U-WIN portal will digitalize vaccination processes for pregnant women and children.

Research and Development Boost

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate a Central Drugs Testing Laboratory in Odisha and lay the foundation for research institutes in Yoga and Naturopathy. Centers of Excellence for medical devices and drug discovery will be established under the Make in India initiative.

Environmental and Health Campaigns

A nationwide campaign, “Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan,” will promote health awareness. State-specific action plans on climate change and health will be launched to develop climate-resilient healthcare services.
