In the meantime, VBA state president Rekha Tai Thakur will lead the party's election campaign with support from the Election Coordination Committee, Manifesto Committee, and Media and Research Department. Prakash Ambedkar, also known as Balasaheb Ambedkar, has served as a two-time Member of Parliament from Akola. The VBA is contesting multiple seats in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections scheduled for November 20.
