In Bandipora, a district in Jammu and Kashmir, police and security forces have successfully recovered ammunition, a grenade, and other suspicious materials. This operation was carried out during a cordon and search operation, as stated in a recent release.

Details of the Operation

The search operation was initiated based on specific information. It was conducted by the Bandipora police, Army 13 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 3rd Battalion. The operation took place in the SK Bala Ajas Sumbal area, specifically at the residence of Ishfaq Majeed Dar, son of Abdul Majeed Dar.

Items Recovered

During the operation, the forces recovered a rusted hand grenade, five AK-47 rounds, and five posters of the banned terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) from the back of the residential house.

Further investigations are currently underway to gather more information about the recovered items and their intended use.
