PM Modi Talks About ‘Satisfaction’ in Government Schemes and Criticizes Opposition in Lok Sabha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, emphasizing his government’s principle of ‘santushtikaran’ (satisfaction) over ‘tushtikaran’ (appeasement), which he claims was practiced by opposition parties before 2014.

Key Points from PM Modi’s Speech:

  • Modi stated that ‘santushtikaran’ means ensuring government schemes reach everyone, leading to true social justice.
  • He criticized the opposition for their past governance model of ‘tushtikaran’.
  • Modi asserted that his government believes in ‘Justice to All, Appeasement to None’.

During his speech, the opposition, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, protested loudly, chanting slogans like ‘Manipur, Manipur’ and ‘Tanashahi nahin chalegi’ (We won’t allow dictatorship). The Speaker expressed displeasure at Rahul Gandhi’s behavior, stating it was not in line with parliamentary traditions.

Modi concluded by saying that people have voted his government to power after seeing their track record over the last 10 years, giving them the opportunity to serve 140 crore people.
