Lanka Dinakar, Andhra Pradesh BJP spokesperson, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union government for providing Rs 3,300 crore in immediate relief for flood-affected areas in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Dinakar mentioned that the funds would be released shortly.

Dinakar highlighted a telephonic conversation between PM Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to assess the flood situation in Vijayawada and other affected districts. He noted that PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah promptly sent the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and aeroplanes to assist those in need.

Earlier, the Indian Navy, under the Eastern Naval Command, conducted relief and rescue operations, including airdropping food packets, medical kits, and water bottles to stranded individuals.

Dinakar also welcomed Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s visit to the flood-affected areas, which led to the immediate assistance from the government. Chouhan inspected the damage to crops and reported a 100% loss to Banana, Haldi, Paddy, and vegetable crops. Many farmers, who lease land, have lost their crops entirely.
