Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, recently spoke about the potential for trade between India and Pakistan through the Atari border. He highlighted efforts made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi since 2014 to improve relations with Pakistan. Goyal clarified that India has not stopped trade with Pakistan; rather, it was Pakistan that halted trade. He stated that the decision to resume trade lies with Pakistan. Goyal also assured that India is not an expansionist nation and values dialogue and diplomacy to solve global issues. However, he warned that terrorism will not be tolerated by India.
