Pappu Yadav’s Concerns
Independent MP from Purnia, Pappu Yadav, has raised concerns about the lack of laws against illicit liquor in Bihar. Police Investigation
Gopalganj Superintendent of Police, Awdhesh Dixit, reported that a Special Investigation Team is investigating the incident, with 14 arrests made and raids conducted at over 200 locations.
Government’s Response
BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad stated that the government is working effectively, with CM Nitish Kumar instructing the DGP on the matter. The death toll has reached 33, with 28 deaths in Siwan and 5 in Saran, Bihar.
