On a special day known as Ashtami, Odisha’s Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, visited a Durga Puja pandal in Bhubaneswar. He offered prayers and expressed his gratitude for being given the responsibility of leading the state. Majhi wished for happiness, peace, and prosperity for the people of Odisha, hoping for a brighter future in the next five years.

Security Measures for Durga Puja

To ensure a safe and grand celebration, Odisha’s Additional Director General of Police, Sanjay Kumar, announced special security arrangements. These include deploying 205 platoons of security forces, along with CRPF, BSF, and Rapid Action Force units, especially in sensitive areas like Bhadrak. Key personnel, including SPs, DSPs, and Inspectors, have been strategically placed across the state.

Traffic and Public Safety

Traffic guidelines have been published to ensure smooth flow, with major roads cleared and ample parking provided, particularly in Cuttack. Kumar assured that all precautions have been taken to avoid public inconvenience during the festivities.
