Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Friday a 10% quota and five-year age relaxation for Agniveers in uniform services. The Odisha government presented a Rs 2.65 lakh crore budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year.

Subhadra Scheme

Former Odisha BJP chief Samir Mohanty called the state budget ‘historic’ and ‘people-oriented,’ emphasizing its benefits for farmers. On the other hand, BJD MLA Pratap Dev criticized the budget for lacking new initiatives and merely renaming old schemes. Former CM and LoP Naveen Patnaik also criticized the budget, calling it a ‘double disappointment.’
