NSE Celebrates 30th Anniversary with New Multi-Language Website and Apps

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) marked its 30th anniversary on Diwali by launching a multi-language website and mobile apps to enhance accessibility for investors across India. During the Muhurat Trading session, a Diwali tradition, NSE Managing Director Ashish Kumar Chauhan extended warm wishes for the new year, Vikram Samvat 2081, and emphasized NSE’s commitment to providing accurate information to the trading community.

Chauhan expressed concerns about the use of AI in trading, comparing it to driver-less cars, and warned that it could blur the line between truth and lies. He reflected on NSE’s origins, noting that it was established on November 3, 1994, on Diwali, making this its 30th year. Muhurat trading, a significant event for Gujarati and Marwadi businessmen, marks the last day of the financial year and the beginning of a prosperous new year.

To support investors from diverse linguistic backgrounds, NSE introduced its website in eight additional regional languages, bringing the total to twelve, including Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu, along with English, Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati. New mobile apps for Android and iOS were also launched, offering market updates and tools for informed decision-making.

Chauhan stated, “People often spread rumors and tips on trading. All information required by investors from a trusted source will be provided by NSE.”
