In Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a late-night encounter took place between the Sector 58 police and a notorious robber. The police were conducting a routine check near Rabbit Park when they noticed a suspicious biker. The biker, identified as Sonu alias Mota, attempted to flee and opened fire on the police.

Police Response

The police retaliated, injuring Sonu, who was then hospitalized. During the encounter, the police recovered a motorcycle, a pistol, cartridges, and five stolen mobile phones from Sonu’s possession.

Criminal Background

Sonu, aged 22, is a known criminal with six cases of robbery and theft registered against him. The police are currently searching for his two accomplices and are conducting further investigations.

Official Statement

Noida ADCP Manish Mishra stated, “A checking was being conducted under the direction of Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissioner. The police had an encounter with a miscreant at Sector 58. The miscreant was injured in the retaliatory action.”
