Nepali Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba Visits New Delhi

Nepali Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba arrived in New Delhi on Sunday for a five-day official visit to India. She was invited by India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. This visit continues the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between India and Nepal.

Warm Welcome

Randhir Jaiswal, the MEA Spokesperson, welcomed Deuba, highlighting the unique and close relationship between the two countries. Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also confirmed her visit and stated that she will return on August 22, 2024.

Meetings and Discussions

During her visit, Deuba will meet with Jaishankar to discuss matters of mutual interest aimed at strengthening Nepal-India relations and promoting cooperation. This visit is part of the regular exchange of high-level visits between the two nations.

Rakshabandhan Celebration

An official from Deuba’s secretariat confirmed that she will also celebrate Rakshabandhan by tying a rakhi to Vijay Chauthaiwale on Monday. Initially, Deuba was set to visit India for a medical checkup, but the formal invitation coincided with the Rakshabandhan festival.
