26 Nepali diplomats, officers to attend special training programme in India
Nepali Diplomats Embark on Special Training in India
A group of 26 Nepali diplomats and officers from ten key ministries and departments of the Government of Nepal will visit India from November 20 to 30. They will participate in the first Special Training Programme at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS) in New Delhi.
Participating Ministries
The group includes representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Ministry of Urban Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, and the Department of Railways.
Training Program Details
The training will cover global political and economic issues, trade and connectivity, climate change, humanitarian assistance, development partnership, and shared culture and heritage. Participants will also visit historical and tourist sites outside New Delhi.

India-Nepal Border Security Meeting
In parallel, India and Nepal began their eighth annual border security coordination meeting in Kathmandu. Officials discussed concerns about the movement of third-country nationals across the Nepal-India border, including Chinese, Pakistani, Rohingya, and Bangladeshi nationals. These meetings have been held since 2012 to address security issues like drug trafficking, smuggling, and corruption.
