The Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Legislature Party is set to meet on October 16 in Chandigarh. This meeting will include BJP’s central observers, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. All BJP MLAs have been asked to stay in Chandigarh from October 16 to 17.

Oath Ceremony Details

Nayab Singh Saini is scheduled to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Haryana on October 17. The ceremony will take place at 10 am at Dussehra Ground in Sector 5, Panchkula. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with senior BJP leaders and Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states, will attend the event.

Cabinet Speculations

Union Minister and former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar confirmed the Prime Minister’s attendance. Discussions are ongoing regarding the Deputy Chief Minister position, with the possibility of introducing new faces. This follows the loss of eight out of ten ministers from the previous Saini government in the elections. Shruti Chaudhary, granddaughter of the late Bansi Lal, is expected to join the cabinet.

Additionally, three independent MLAs, Devender Kadyan, Rajesh Joon, and Savitri Jindal, have pledged their support to the BJP.
