Mumbai Crime Branch Arrests Suspect in Baba Siddique Murder Case

The Mumbai Crime Branch has made another arrest in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique. The suspect, Amit Hisamsing Kumar, aged 29, hails from Kaithal district in Haryana. This arrest is the eleventh in the ongoing investigation.

Kumar’s involvement was confirmed under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Arms Act, and the MP Act. The Mumbai Police revealed that the shooters practiced their aim in a forest along the Karjat-Khopoli road, firing at a tree near Palasadari village.

Police Actions

Constable Shyam Sonawane, who was present with Siddique during the attack, has been suspended for failing to act against the attackers. Baba Siddique was shot outside his office in Nirmal Nagar and succumbed to his injuries at Lilavati Hospital on October 12.
