Mohammad Salahuddin Joins Bangladesh Cricket Team as Assistant Coach
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced that experienced coach Mohammad Salahuddin will join the coaching staff led by Phil Simmons on a short-term contract. Salahuddin, who has previously served as an assistant and fielding coach for Bangladesh, will be with the team until March 15 next year.

BCB President Faruque Ahmed expressed hope that this appointment will pave the way for more local coaches to take on significant roles in the future. He stated, “When I took over as BCB president, I made a commitment to provide opportunities for deserving candidates to contribute to the national team set-up.”
Salahuddin’s Experience and Role
Faruque praised Salahuddin, highlighting his extensive experience and knowledge, making him the ideal candidate for the role. Salahuddin will serve as the senior assistant coach under head coach Phil Simmons, a former West Indies all-rounder. Their upcoming assignment is Bangladesh’s tour of the West Indies, which includes two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is.
