Mobile Services Suspended Amid PTI Protests in Islamabad and Rawalpindi

In Islamabad and Rawalpindi, mobile phone services have been suspended for the third consecutive day due to ongoing protests by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. The protests have led to increased security measures, with containers placed at key locations like Sri Nagar Highway, Zero Point, and Faisal Avenue. The Faizabad Interchange is partially open, but road closures have made commuting difficult for residents. Businesses and trade activities in the federal capital have also been affected.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reported that 564 individuals were arrested during the crackdown on the protests, including 11 police officers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 120 Afghan nationals.
