Ministry of Home Affairs Warns Against Fake Emails and Documents for FCRA Services

The Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a public advisory against fraud emails and documents being circulated in the name of its officials. This advisory follows several complaints about fraudsters impersonating MHA officials and demanding money from associations or NGOs for FCRA services.

The advisory highlights that fraudulent emails and communications with fake logos, email addresses, and documents are being used to ask individuals, associations, and NGOs for payments. The public is informed not to respond to such fake emails or letters requesting personal information or payments.

All FCRA services, including registration, renewal, prior permission, and changes in details, should be availed only through the official online FCRA portal at https://fcraonline.nic.inl. Payments for these services should also be made only through the online payment gateway on the FCRA portal.

For any FCRA-related issues or queries, the FCRA support team can be contacted via their website at https://helpdesk.fcraonline.gov.in, by email at support-fcra@gov.in, or by phone at 011-23077504/23077505.
