Seth highlighted the Prime Minister’s tradition of celebrating Diwali with soldiers, which inspires courage among them. This year, PM Modi continued this tradition by celebrating with Army jawans in Gujarat’s Kachchh, a practice he has maintained since 2014.

Diwali Sweets Exchange with Chinese Troops

Referring to the Diwali exchange of sweets between Indian and Chinese troops at border points in Ladakh, Seth noted that it is part of Indian culture to exchange sweets and gifts. He mentioned that due to the Prime Minister’s efforts, the Chinese army is retreating, and sweets have been exchanged along the Indo-China border.

India-China Border Developments

Recently, Indian and Chinese armies exchanged sweets following the completion of the disengagement process in Depsang and Demchok in north-eastern Ladakh. India and China have also agreed on new patrolling arrangements along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) at their shared border.
