Michael Vaughan Praises Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja’s T20I Farewell
Former England batter and captain Michael Vaughan has praised Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja for their T20 World Cup win, calling it a perfect farewell from T20I cricket. Vaughan shared his thoughts on the Club Prairie Fire Podcast, noting that while the trio could have won more white-ball trophies, they can now enjoy the rest of their careers playing Tests, ODIs, and the Indian Premier League (IPL).
India ended an 11-year ICC trophy drought with a seven-run win over South Africa in the final at Barbados on June 29. Key performances came from Virat Kohli, who scored 76 runs, Hardik Pandya, who took 3 wickets for 20 runs, and Jasprit Bumrah, who took 2 wickets for 18 runs. Kohli’s masterful innings helped India reach 176/7 in 20 overs, while Bumrah and Pandya’s bowling restricted South Africa to 169/8 in their 20 overs.
The current crop of young Indian talent is on display during the T20I series against Zimbabwe, which started on July 6. The series is currently tied at 1-1 with three games remaining.
