Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia visited Kalkaji Temple to offer prayers after being released on bail by the Supreme Court in the Delhi Excise Policy case. Sisodia said, “After coming out of the jail, I arrived to offer prayers at Kalkaji temple. I thanked God for listening to the prayers of the public of Delhi.”

Hope for Arvind Kejriwal’s Release

Sisodia expressed hope for the release of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is also involved in the case. He stated, “I am hopeful that Arvind Kejriwal will also soon walk out of jail.”

Details of the Case

Sisodia was arrested in February 2023 by the CBI for alleged irregularities in the framing and implementation of Delhi’s new excise policy, which has since been scrapped. The Supreme Court granted him bail on August 9, with conditions including surrendering his passport and not influencing witnesses.

Meeting with Bhagwant Mann

After his release, Sisodia met Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to discuss party matters. This was their first meeting since Sisodia’s bail. He also extended birthday wishes to CM Arvind Kejriwal, calling him a “patriot and revolutionary leader.”
