Man Pulls Train Alarm Chain at Nashik Station, Faces Legal Action

On October 26, at Nashik Road station in Maharashtra, a man named Sanjeev Ratan Chand Pathariya was charged for pulling the alarm chain on the Rajdhani Express without a valid reason. The incident took place on train number 22221, down Rajdhani Express, at platform no 2.

The alarm was pulled at 6:44 pm, causing the train to stop for three minutes. Sanjeev was assisting his friends, Tapas Manindra Mohri, his wife Kajal, and their daughter Khushi, as they boarded the train to Mathura. As the train began moving, Sanjeev, who had a platform ticket, could not disembark in time and pulled the alarm chain.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) detained Sanjeev, who admitted to pulling the chain without a valid reason. A case was registered against him under Section 141 of the Railway Act, and further investigation is ongoing.

The Central Railways has advised passengers to refrain from pulling the alarm chain without a valid reason, warning that legal action will be taken under the Railway Act.
