Mahua Maji Criticizes BJP’s Approach to Dynasty Politics in Jharkhand Elections
In Ranchi, Jharkhand, Mahua Maji, a member of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its inconsistent stance on dynasty politics. Maji highlighted that despite BJP’s criticism of other parties for dynasty politics, they have included several candidates from political families in their list for the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections. She pointed out that the BJP has given tickets to relatives of former Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Dhulu Mahto, and Arjun Munda, among others.
Maji accused the BJP of hypocrisy, stating that while they speak against corruption, they induct corrupt individuals into their party. She expressed confidence in JMM’s preparations and believed that the BJP would not come to power in the upcoming elections. Maji also mentioned that Jharkhand has not progressed under BJP’s rule, but under Hemant Soren’s leadership, significant hurdles have been cleared.
The elections in Jharkhand are scheduled in two phases on November 13 and 20, with counting on November 23. The INDIA bloc, including JMM and Congress, will contest 70 out of 81 seats, while BJP will contest 68 seats in alliance with other parties.
