In Sindh, Pakistan, the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM) has condemned the actions of Pakistani agencies, particularly the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), for preventing Mahrang Baloch, a Baloch rights activist, from boarding her flight to New York. Mahrang was set to attend a gala by Time magazine honoring influential leaders. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), a human rights group, criticized this as a violation of her rights to movement, expression, and association.

Sohail Abro, JSFM chairman, called on the United Nations and global human rights organizations to address this infringement and pressure Pakistan to stop such oppressive actions against activists. He emphasized that these actions undermine justice and freedom, violating international human rights treaties. Abro urged the global community to hold Pakistan accountable and protect activists like Mahrang Baloch.

Previously, Sammi Deen Baloch, another Baloch activist, was stopped at Karachi airport while traveling to Muscat, Oman, due to her name being on the Exit Control List. Sammi Deen has been vocal about the forced disappearances and extrajudicial actions affecting the Baloch region.
