Bawankule claimed that Thackeray is in a difficult position, having to seek support from the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance, which includes the Congress and Sharad Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
Bawankule remarked, “I have never seen Uddhav Thackeray in such a condition where he had to walk around with a bowl in front of Maha Vikas Aghadi. Sharad Pawar has played all his politics. He wants Supriya Sule to be made the Chief Minister.” He further questioned why Sharad Pawar has not announced Thackeray as the Chief Minister, suggesting that the people desire development, which only the Mahayuti government can provide.
Meanwhile, Sharad Pawar, the chief of the NCP, has hinted at a significant role for Jayant Patil, the Maharashtra NCP-SCP president, in the state’s future. During a public rally in Islampur, Sangli district, Pawar emphasized the need for a progressive Maharashtra, reminiscent of the vision of the state’s first Chief Minister, Yashwantrao Chavan. He suggested that Jayant Patil should take on the responsibility of leading this change, with the support of the party and his colleagues.
