Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Announces Free LPG Cylinders for Women with Low Income

Baramati (Maharashtra) [India], July 14: Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar announced that the Mahayuti Government will provide money for three LPG cylinders to women and girls whose annual income is under Rs 2.5 lakhs. This announcement was made during a public rally in Baramati, his legislative constituency.

Deputy CM Pawar stated, “We have not stopped till Ladli Bahan Yojana. We will also give money for three LPG gas cylinders a year to all our sisters, mothers, and daughters whose income is under 2.5 lakhs per annum.”

He further mentioned that women will receive Rs 46,000 crores under the Ladli Bahan Scheme and Rs 65,000 crores per annum under various state schemes. Pawar emphasized the goal of empowering women to be self-reliant and confident.

Pawar urged the public to elect the Mahayuti government in the upcoming Assembly elections to ensure the continuation of these benefits. He cautioned against trusting other parties, claiming they would give false assurances.

On his social media handle, Pawar shared glimpses of the rally, expressing gratitude for the public’s support.

Last week, Ajit Pawar, who also holds the finance portfolio, presented the state budget in the Maharashtra Assembly. He announced the ‘Mukhyanantri Majhi Ladki Bahin’ scheme, which will provide Rs 1500 per month to women aged 21 to 60, starting from July 2024. The application deadline has been extended to August 31, and women up to 65 years can now apply.
