Thane, Maharashtra

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde responded to Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks about fake promises. Shinde criticized Congress for not delivering on their promises, stating that the Maharashtra government ensures money reaches the people directly.

In an interview, CM Shinde emphasized that Congress lacks the intention to give back to the people, unlike the current government which follows RBI and Central Government guidelines. He assured that the Ladli Behen Yojana, a scheme providing Rs 1,500 monthly to women aged 21-65 with an income below Rs 2.5 lakh, will continue without interruption.

Shinde highlighted that Congress failed to fulfill promises in states like Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana. He stated that the opposition underestimated the government’s ability to implement large schemes and gain industry trust.

CM Shinde also mentioned that the November funds for the Ladli Behen scheme were transferred in October to avoid issues with the Model Code of Conduct during elections. He expressed his commitment to empowering women and making them financially independent.

The Maharashtra government launched the Ladli Behen scheme on August 17 to support women financially and promote self-reliance.
