Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Announces New Corporations for Brahmin and Rajput Communities

The Maharashtra Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, has decided to create two new corporations to support economically weaker sections of the Brahmin and Rajput communities. The cabinet has allocated Rs 50 crore to each corporation. The ‘Parashuram Economic Development Corporation’ will be for the Brahmin community, and the ‘Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Economic Development Corporation’ will be for the Rajput community.

Other Key Decisions

In addition to the new corporations, the cabinet made several other important decisions:

  • Renaming Lohgaon Airport as ‘Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj International Airport, Pune’
  • Including three Kunbi sub-castes in the Other Backward Classes (OBC) list
  • Establishing a District and Additional Sessions Court at Junnar
  • Doubling the remuneration for sarpanchs and deputy sarpanchs
  • Constructing a new complex for the Bombay High Court at Bandra
  • Naming 14 ITI institutes in the state
  • Allocating Rs seven crores to law universities in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Nagpur
  • Improving the decision for direct recruitment of top-quality players
  • Providing Senior Pay Scale to Water Resources Employees
