The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, which includes the Congress, the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT), is gearing up for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut announced that each party will contest 85 seats. He emphasized the importance of unity among the MVA parties and the need for elections to proceed smoothly.

Raut mentioned that a list of candidates was shared on social media platform X, but it requires corrections, which will be addressed promptly. He assured that the consensus on seat distribution is nearly complete, with discussions ongoing for smaller parties’ participation.

Raut also expressed confidence in winning 100 seats in the elections. The Shiv Sena (UBT) has already released a list of 65 candidates, including Aaditya Thackeray, who will contest from the Worli assembly constituency.

As the election date of November 20 approaches, both the ruling Mahayuti alliance, consisting of the BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), and Ajit Pawar-led NCP, and the opposition MVA are intensifying their preparations. The Maharashtra assembly has 288 seats, and the results will be announced on November 23.
