Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 2: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 155th birth anniversary and to the second Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri, on his 120th birth anniversary.

Tributes to Mahatma Gandhi

Chief Minister Yadav honored Mahatma Gandhi by placing flowers at his statue in Bhopal. He shared photos of the event on social media, stating, “Today, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the ‘Father of the Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi, in Bhopal, I garlanded his statue and paid homage to him and bowed to him.” He added that Gandhi’s teachings of truth, non-violence, and service will always be exemplary.

Homage to Lal Bahadur Shastri

CM Yadav also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri by garlanding his statue in Bhopal. He expressed his admiration for Shastri’s simplicity, strong will, and honesty, and remembered his famous slogan ‘Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan’ which inspired confidence in the nation.

Remarks on Leadership

Speaking to the media, CM Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his progress in various sectors and for spreading the message of peace amid instability in South Asia. He emphasized that Gandhi’s contributions to India’s independence will never be forgotten.
