Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Joins Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Gwalior
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav participated in the Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Gwalior on Saturday. He congratulated ISKCON for organizing the event and wished for the continued blessings of Lord Krishna.
Other notable participants included Madhya Pradesh assembly speaker and former union minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Gwalior MP Bharat Singh Kushwaha, and other BJP leaders. CM Yadav expressed his gratitude and highlighted the significance of the event, which is in its 5th year in Gwalior.
Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar praised the enthusiasm and devotion of the city’s residents, who worshipped Lord Jagannath and prayed for prosperity and well-being. He also mentioned the victory in the Amravada Assembly elections as a triumph of development and workers’ efforts.
The Rath Yatra, also known as the Chariot Festival, is a historic Hindu festival associated with the Jagannath Temple in Puri. Celebrated on the Dwitiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Ashadh, the festival features deities Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra, and sister Subhadra being carried on wooden chariots from Jagannath Temple to Gundicha Temple in Puri.
