Lord Shri Ramlala Adorned with Uttarakhand’s Aipan Art Shubhavastram
On September 24, the divine idol of Lord Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya was adorned with a special Shubhavastram. This garment was decorated with the traditional Aipan art, a ritualistic art form made by women of the Kumaon Region in Uttarakhand.
The Shubhavastram was prepared by skilled craftsmen from Uttarakhand and presented to the Shri Ram temple by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. This event not only showcased the dedication and craftsmanship of Uttarakhand but also added a new chapter to the state’s cultural prosperity on a national stage.
Chief Minister Dhami has been actively promoting the folk arts, music, dance, and crafts of Uttarakhand. He encourages local artisans and inspires the youth to connect with their cultural roots.
