Under the leadership of Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi has announced the third edition of the Liwa International Festival 2025. This exciting event will take place from December 13, 2024, to January 4, 2025, in Liwa, Al Dhafra.

The festival, organized in collaboration with Liwa Sports Club, Al Dhafra Municipality, Abu Dhabi Police, Abu Dhabi Media Network, and Miral, will run for 23 days. It aims to reinforce Al Dhafra’s status as a premier winter destination, attracting camping enthusiasts, adventure lovers, and fans of traditional sports and racing.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including fireworks displays, live music, and desert adventures. The festival will also feature the Liwa Village, celebrating Emirati heritage with musical performances, dining options, a crafts market, creative workshops, and family-friendly activities.

Accommodation options range from luxurious units to traditional desert lodgings. The festival will kick off with a two-day car exhibition on December 13, followed by competitions and activities, culminating in the thrilling Hill Climbing Championship. Traditional sports like falconry, camel racing, and horse racing will also be highlighted.

The Liwa International Festival invites everyone to explore the unique tourism offerings of Al Dhafra, creating memorable experiences with family and friends.
