Premier League club Liverpool has announced that Spanish goalkeeper Adrian is leaving the team after his contract expired. Adrian joined Liverpool in 2019 and made 26 appearances for the Reds. He was instrumental in Liverpool’s penalty shootout victory over Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup in 2019.

Adrian was mostly the second-choice goalkeeper behind Brazilian Alisson. With the emergence of Caoimhin Kelleher, Adrian became the third-choice goalkeeper. His last game for Liverpool was in the 2022 Community Shield against Manchester City.

Adrian shared a heartfelt video message to thank the fans for their support. He said, “I’m making this video to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have given me during this beautiful and successful journey together.” He praised the Liverpool fans and the club’s traditions, saying, “You Will Never Walk Alone is not just an anthem, it is a philosophy of life.”

Adrian’s future plans are still uncertain, but there are reports that he might return to Spain. The 37-year-old leaves Liverpool with the best wishes of everyone at the club.
