As of noon, the BJP was leading in 50 seats, Congress in 34, with the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leading in one seat each, and independents and smaller parties in four seats. Despite exit polls predicting a Congress win, current trends suggest a possible BJP victory.
