Festive Disruptions and Unfulfilled Promises

Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao (KTR), the Working President of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has criticized the Congress government in Telangana, led by Revanth Reddy, for disrupting the festive spirit during Bathukamma and Dasara with demolition drives. KTR accused the government of turning Musi into ‘museebat’ (trouble) and creating a climate of fear with bulldozers.

Speaking at an event where senior Congress leader Mohammed Alauddin Patel and his followers joined BRS, KTR extended festive greetings but lamented the lack of celebration. He claimed that if KCR were Chief Minister, financial assistance to farmers and Bathukamma sarees for women would have been distributed. KTR recounted an incident in Warangal where locals feared demolitions, highlighting public distrust.

KTR accused Congress of failing to fulfill promises, such as 2 lakh jobs and financial stability, and criticized the unfulfilled Rs 2 lakh loan waiver promised by Rahul Gandhi. He pointed out other unmet promises, including aid for women, jobs for youth, and gold for marriage schemes. KTR accused Congress of prioritizing large projects like the Musi Riverfront over promises.

He urged Congress to focus on helping the poor and delivering on promises related to farmers, youth, women, and minorities. KTR referenced Congress’s losses in Haryana and accused them of cheating people in Telangana, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh. He emphasized preserving the Ganga-Jamuna culture and assured that BRS would fight for secular values.

Former Home Minister Mahmood Ali praised KCR’s efforts for minority welfare, recalling the establishment of over 200 residential schools. BRS leader Shaik Abdullah Sohail claimed Congress promoted communal violence and targeted minority businesses. He vowed that BRS would expose Congress’s communal agenda.
