Mumbai, Maharashtra: Karnataka Minister and Congress leader G Parameshwara expressed confidence that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will gain public support and form the next government in Maharashtra’s upcoming assembly elections. He stated, “Ashok Gehlot and I have been in charge of Mumbai and Konkan. My observation is that people are going to vote for us, Maha Vikas Aghadi. We are going to form the Government.”

Parameshwara also responded to Prime Minister Modi’s comments regarding Congress in-charge for Jharkhand affairs, Ghulam Ahmed Mir. He assured that the party would investigate any specific cases mentioned by the PM, particularly concerning the misuse of facilities by individuals from Bangladesh.

Prime Minister Modi had criticized Ghulam Ahmed Mir for his promise to provide LPG cylinders at Rs 450 to “infiltrators,” accusing Congress of jeopardizing children’s futures for votes. Parameshwara dismissed BJP’s claims that Karnataka funds are being used in Maharashtra elections, labeling them as “baseless” and politically motivated.
