Ramanagara, Karnataka – Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar strongly criticized the BJP and JDS parties for their involvement in corruption during their tenure. Speaking at the Janandolana event, Shivakumar accused them of being deeply entrenched in corrupt practices.

Shivakumar stated, ‘Corruption is the father, mother, brother, sister, and relative of BJP and JDS. The people of the State have given 135 seats for my leadership and 19 seats for Kumaraswamy’s leadership.’

He questioned Kumaraswamy’s previous accusations and demanded answers regarding various allegations, including the Prajwal Revanna pen drive case and the involvement of former BJP MLA Preetham Gowda.

Shivakumar also criticized BJP leader Vijayendra and questioned the silence of BJP leaders on several issues. He highlighted the BJP’s past advertisements about land grabs and corruption involving the Deve Gowda family.

Addressing the issue of CM Siddaramaiah’s wife’s land compensation, Shivakumar clarified that the compensation was fair and done during the BJP’s tenure.

He challenged Kumaraswamy to answer questions about his assets and other allegations, emphasizing that the Congress government is strong and will not be easily destabilized.

Shivakumar also accused the BJP of misusing agencies to file cases against Congress leaders and reiterated the Congress party’s strength and commitment to India’s future.

He noted that the BJP did not take out a padayatra for important causes like Cauvery or Mekedatu but for other reasons. He also promised support for job creation and local development in Karnataka.

Shivakumar concluded by stating that the Congress government is ready to address local issues and support the people of Karnataka.
