Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar Criticizes BJP’s Padayatra Over MUDA Scam Allegations

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar criticized BJP’s padayatra over the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam, calling it an attempt to create an issue out of a non-issue. He questioned BJP’s actions during their tenure, labeling it as the most scandalous government.

The Karnataka Cabinet advised Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot to withdraw the show-cause notice issued to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The notice was issued on July 27, and Siddaramaiah stated that the Cabinet had already provided details to reject the complaint.

The BJP plans a seven-day padayatra starting August 3 against the alleged wrongdoings of the Siddaramaiah government. A complaint was filed by social activist Snehamayi Krishna against Siddaramaiah and others for allegedly forging documents to claim compensation from MUDA. The complaint includes allegations against Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathy, his brother-in-law Malikarjuna Swamy Devaraj, and his family for creating fake documents and obtaining plots worth crores of rupees.
