In a recent press conference, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramiah shared that he received numerous requests to maintain the grant for the Valmiki Corporation. He assured that the full grant would be provided this year.

Fake Caste Certificates

The Chief Minister discussed the issue of fake caste certificates and instructed officials to take action against such activities. He emphasized resolving the confusion surrounding caste certificates.

Financial Misappropriation

Siddaramiah revealed that Rs 89.63 crore was misappropriated, with Rs 5 crore already recovered. The SIT is working to recover the remaining amount, and the case is currently in court.

Regarding protests against the BJP government for less tax devolution funds, Siddaramiah stated that discussions are yet to occur. He also mentioned readiness for upcoming by-elections in three constituencies.

Anti-Tobacco Appeal

The Chief Minister urged people, especially the youth, to avoid tobacco products, sharing his personal experience of quitting smoking.
