Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Inspects Highway Projects and Pledges Support for Wayanad Landslide Victims
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, while traveling from Mysuru to the Shiradi Ghat landslide site, inspected ongoing highway construction projects. He gathered information from officials and was briefed on a 41 km four-lane National Highway project between Bilikere Cross and Yadagondanahalli, worth 600 crore. Concerned about road safety, he instructed officials to cover potholes and repair hazardous wiring.
During his journey, Siddaramaiah identified damaged road dividers and directed necessary repairs. On his birthday, he declined celebratory gestures from admirers, stating, “I do not celebrate my birthday.”
Earlier, Siddaramaiah announced that Karnataka will construct 100 houses for victims of the Wayanad landslide in Kerala, expressing solidarity with Kerala and assuring support to Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
