Kangana Ranaut Takes Oath as MP in 18th Lok Sabha

New Delhi, June 24: Kangana Ranaut, an actor-turned-politician, took oath as a member of Parliament on the first day of the 18th Lok Sabha. She won her first election on a BJP ticket from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, defeating Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh.

Ranaut expressed her commitment to serving the people of her constituency with full devotion. She stated, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we all will work together day and night to realize the dream of a developed and self-reliant India.”

She also mentioned the hope that the opposition will contribute valuably in Parliament.

On the same day, various prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, took oaths as Members of Parliament. Other Union Ministers like G. Kishan Reddy, Chirag Paswan, Kiren Rijiju, Nitin Gadkari, and Mansukh Mandaviya also took oaths.

Prime Minister Modi congratulated all the newly elected members and emphasized the importance of building consensus to serve the country. He highlighted the significance of the oath ceremony taking place in the new Parliament building for the first time since independence.

PM Modi thanked the people for their support and for giving him a mandate to lead the country for a third consecutive time. He stated that the 18th Lok Sabha aims to build a developed India by 2047.

The Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 11 am tomorrow.
