Kamala Harris’s Career

Harris highlighted her extensive career, stating, ‘Throughout my career, I’ve taken on perpetrators of all kinds, and let me tell you: I know Donald Trump’s type.’ She emphasized her roles as Attorney General, District Attorney, and courtroom prosecutor, where she dealt with various offenders, including those who abused women and committed fraud.

Trump’s Remarks

Trump’s comments included, ‘She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was black until a number of years ago, when she happened to turn black, and now she wants to be known as black.’

Harris’s Response

In response, Harris stated that the American people ‘deserve better’ and criticized Trump’s divisive rhetoric. She asserted that the country faces a choice between two different visions and that Trump’s campaign aims to take the country ‘backward.’

Harris is the first woman of color and the first Asian American vice president. If she wins the upcoming presidential election, she will become the first woman president of the United States.
