Judge Warns Advocate in Court Over Misbehavior in UPSC Aspirant Drowning Case
In New Delhi, Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna warned advocate Abhijit Anand against misbehavior in court. Anand is representing J Dalvil Suresh, the father of Nevin Dalvil, a deceased UPSC aspirant who died in the Old Rajender Nagar drowning case.
Anand had filed an application seeking the building sanction plan of the basement and third floor where the incident occurred. The judge assigned the application to another court, but Anand insisted it be heard by the District Judge. Judge Chandna cautioned him, stating, “Don’t even think you can misbehave in my court.”
The application sought documents deemed relevant to the case, including the building plan and lease deed. The court emphasized the importance of maintaining decorum and proper conduct in the courtroom.
