JP Nadda Renews BJP Membership for Murli Manohar Joshi and LK Advani in Delhi
Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief JP Nadda handed over renewed BJP membership certificates to veteran leaders Murli Manohar Joshi and LK Advani in Delhi. This event is part of the party’s membership drive.
JP Nadda shared, “Today I met senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party and our guide, respected Shri Murli Manohar Joshi ji at his residence and gave him a copy of membership renewal under ‘BJP – National Membership Campaign’. Your life dedicated to public service and nation-building is an inspiration for millions of BJP workers.”
Earlier, Nadda, along with party General Secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam, also handed over the BJP membership certificate to LK Advani.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the BJP’s 2024 membership drive by renewing his membership. He received his certificate from BJP president JP Nadda at the ‘Sanghatan Parva, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024’.
PM Modi emphasized that the membership drive is not just a ritual but an expansion of the BJP family and an ideological movement. He stated, “This very membership drive isn’t just a ritual. It’s an expansion of our family…It isn’t a game of numbers. It doesn’t matter the numbers we achieve. This membership drive is an ideological and emotional movement.”
He also mentioned that the drive aims to bring a new political culture to the country and will coincide with the implementation of 33 per cent reservation in Legislative Assemblies and Parliament.
The membership drive will be conducted in two phases: September 2 to September 25 and October 1 to October 15, targeting specific milestones across the country.
