On October 25, Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, a leader from the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), spoke out against a terrorist attack on a military vehicle in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed concerns that certain forces are trying to disrupt the democratic process in the region.

The attack resulted in the deaths of two Indian Army soldiers and two civilian porters. Additionally, one soldier and one porter were injured and are receiving medical treatment. The Indian Army’s Chinar Corps reported a firefight in the Butapathri area of Baramulla.

Other Incidents

On the same day, a laborer named Pritam Singh from Uttar Pradesh was injured in a shooting by terrorists in Pulwama district. Earlier, on October 20, a doctor and six construction workers were killed in an attack on a tunnel construction site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway.
