Jammu and Kashmir Police Seize Drug Peddler Basid Ali’s Property Worth Over 92 Lakh in Rajouri
The Jammu and Kashmir Police have taken action against drug peddlers by seizing properties worth over Rs 92 lakh in Rajouri district. The property belongs to Basid Ali, son of Barkat Ali, and is located in the Kheora area.
Details of the Seizure
According to a press release, the property was proven to be acquired through illegal means and proceeds from the narcotics trade. The action was taken under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act of 1985.
Official Statements
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rajouri, Musadiq Basu, stated, “Whenever any property is made from the earnings of narcotics trade, we seize it and take legal action. Today we have seized the property of Barkat Ali’s son, Basid Ali, worth around Rs 1 crore. We have proved that he made it with money earned from drug sales.”
The police team, including the Deputy Superintendent of Police headquarters Rajouri, SHO PS Rajouri, and Incharge PP City, attached the property in the presence of Executive Magistrate First Class Rajouri.

Police mentioned that several properties worth crores of rupees have been attached in similar actions previously.
