Jagmohan Anand Files Nomination for Haryana Elections

Jagmohan Anand, a candidate from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has filed his nomination for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections from the Karnal constituency. He expressed his gratitude to the party, stating, ‘Party is my mother, even if I hadn’t got the ticket, I wouldn’t have any complaints with the party.’

Support from Manohar Lal Khattar

Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar accompanied Anand during the nomination filing. Khattar expressed confidence in BJP’s victory for a third consecutive term, saying, ‘It’s going to be an interesting contest, but I can say with utmost confidence that the BJP will form the government in Haryana for the third consecutive time.’

Other Candidates and Election Details

The BJP has also announced other candidates: Rohtash Jangra from Sirsa, Kanwar Singh Yadav from Mahendragarh, and Satish Fagna from Faridabad NIT. The elections will be held on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12. The counting of votes will take place on October 8.

In the 2019 assembly polls, the BJP became the single-largest party with 40 seats, while Congress won 30 seats.
