Israeli Soldiers Continue Counterterrorism Operations in Gaza City and Shejaya
Israeli soldiers are conducting counterterrorism operations in the northern Gaza areas of Gaza City and Shejaya. These operations aim to combat Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, who are trying to re-establish themselves in these regions.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, dozens of terrorists were eliminated through airstrikes and close-quarters combat. Numerous weapons, including sniper equipment, RPGs, grenades, and AK-47 rifles, were seized. Additionally, terrorist infrastructure and an underground route were destroyed.
Over the last day, the Israeli Air Force struck additional terror targets throughout the Gaza Strip, including military structures, underground shafts, and terrorist infrastructure.
These operations follow Hamas’s attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7, which resulted in at least 1,200 deaths and 252 hostages. Of the 116 remaining hostages, more than 30 are believed to be dead.
