Israel Defence Forces Eliminate Hezbollah Commanders in Southern Lebanon

On October 27, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of three Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon. Among those killed was Ahmed Jafar Maatouk, the commander of Hezbollah’s Bint Jbeil Area. His successor and the head of artillery in the same area were also targeted and eliminated by the Israeli Air Force (IAF). These individuals were responsible for numerous attacks, including launching anti-tank missiles at Israeli civilians and IDF troops.

The IDF also reported dismantling approximately 130 ready-to-fire launchers used by Hezbollah. Additionally, Israeli troops confiscated four armed mobile launchers with around 160 rockets, including one that had recently injured civilians in Majd al-Krum.

In a separate development, the IDF expanded the Humanitarian Area in Al-Mawasi. This area now includes field hospitals, tent compounds, and essential supplies like food, water, and medicine, coordinated with international partners to support the region during the ongoing conflict.
